Entrepreneurship Development Training

Entrepreneurship development is seen as an appropriate intervention for stimulating the economy, creating wealth and a recipe for ameliorating unemployment in the country. There are different perspectives to entrepreneurship development. These include policies, strategies, programmes, funding, development and skills. The acquisition of entrepreneurial skills is key to the start-off, management and survival of businesses. The focus here is on the characteristics of the entrepreneur and the skills that he must have in order to successfully develop business ventures.

This programme will cover the general overview of a business enterprise from inception to growth and maturity stages. It is geared toward making the participants appreciate an operating entity within a business environment. It will cover the concept and functions of the entrepreneur, basic business management and other challenges of peculiar business types. Among other things, the programme covers aspects of leadership, decision-making, financial management, legal forms and requirements in businesses, and the cooperative business as a special case in the entrepreneurship process.

This training would provide participants with business knowledge and enhance their entrepreneurial skills so they can grow profitable businesses that are sustainable thereby improving their standard of living and contributing to the Nigerian economy through employment creation.
